BERN: Fernando Torres marked his international comeback with a goal as world and European champions Spain extended their preparations for Euro 2012 with a 4-1 win over South Korea in Bern.

The Chelsea forward opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a header from Benat Etxebarria’s cross. A superb strike from Kim Do-Heon brought the Koreans level two minutes before half-time but the second half saw Xabi Alonso convert a penalty after Choi Hyo-Jin handled Nacho Monreal’s shot. Santi Cazorla scored a third from a free-kick and substitute Alvaro Negredo converted a Roberto Soldado assist for No4.

Holland suffered two injury scares ahead as Wilfred Bouma and Wesley Sneijder being forced off during a 2-0 home victory over Slovakia in Rotterdam. PSV Eindhoven centre-back Bouma had to be substituted after a collision in the first minute with defensive colleague Johnny Heitinga. Sneijder was substituted after taking a blow on an ankle in the 51st minute.

Ibrahim Afellay helped to put Holland in front after seven minutes when the Barcelona forward, back in action only last month after knee trouble, fired in a low cross which defender Kornel Salata deflected into  his own goal. Rafael van der Vaart doubled Holland’s lead after 75 minutes.

Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a superb opening goal and set up the second for Ola Toivonen as Sweden held on for a 3-2 victory in their first Euro 2012 warm-up match against Iceland. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson narrowed the deficit in the 27th minute and although Christian Wilhelmsson restored the two-goal advantage, Hallgrimur Jonasson’s stoppage-time strike ensured a nervy finale.
