PARIS: Qatar National Bank has agreed a three-year extension to its sponsorship deal with French champions Paris Saint-Germain in a deal which will include a shirt-sleeve presence.

QNB has partnered with PSG for the past two seasons in a bid to gain stronger brand recognition in the international market. Under the new deal, the bank said it will benefit from brand placement on one of PSG’s shirt sleeves during all Ligue 1 games.

The bank will also have advertising presence at the Parc des Princes, while its logo will appear on the back of all Ligue 1 match tickets. The new contract comes into effect from the start of next season.

QNB said: “The partnership with Paris Saint-Germain is another way for QNB to continue to move forward by developing new assets and expanding its sphere of influence.

“By making a positive difference in the communities that it serves and positively influencing economic development in its neighbouring countries as well as the ones it operates in, QNB is well positioned to be a leading financial powerhouse.”

The QNB deal comes after PSG last month agreed a five-year extension to its shirt sponsorshipwith Emirates. The Dubai-based airline’s new agreement will run through to the end of the 2018-19 season. It is reportedly worth a basic Eur20 million per season, rising to Eur25 million depending on results.
