MADRID: Cristiano Ronaldo appeared fully fit and back at his best as he scored at the start of each half to set up Real Madrid’s 4-0 victory over struggling Osasuna.

Sergio Ramos and Daniel Carvajal also netted for Real who are second on 82 points, three behind Atletico Madrid who go Valencia on Sunday with both teams having played 34 games.

Real did not risk Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema against Osasuna ahead of their Champions league semi-final second leg at Bayern Munich on Tuesday in which they hold a 1-0 advantage.

In Germany veteran striker Claudio Pizarro scored twice in an explosive second half to help champions Bayern Munich crush Werder Bremen 5-2 and sound a return-to-form warning to Champions League opponents Real Madrid.

The 34-year-old Peru international struck twice to turn the game around after Bayern trailed 2-1 at halftime.  The other goals for Bayern, who wore black armbands in memory of former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova, came from Franck Ribery, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben.

In Greece a hat-trick from Swedish striker Marcus Berg helped Panathinaikos end a four-year wait for silverware with a 4-1 win over PAOK Salonica in the cup final. Midfielder Nikos Karelis scored other goal as Pana lifted the trophy for the 18th time. It was their first title since the league and cup double in 2009-10.

In Italy Napoli missed a chance to secure Champions League football next season when they were held away to Internazionale in Milan. Rafa Benitez’s third-placed team created plenty of chances but failed to capitalise.

Vincenzo Montella’s Fiorentina, who take on Napoli in next Saturday’s Italian Cup final, crushed relegation-threatened Bologna 3-0 thanks to a double from Juan Cuadrado and a deflected strike from Josip Ilicic.

In Serbia champions Partizan Belgrade kept alive their hopes of a record seventh successive league crown after a late Nemanja Kojic goal earned a 2-1 derby home win over leaders Red Star.
