2014 WORLD CUP: First South American neighbours arrive in Brazil for finals
RIO DE JANEIRO: Chile’s version of La Roja have landed in Brazil for the World Cup finals.
After two victories in friendly matches against Egypt and Northern Ireland, the Chileans arrived today in Belo Horizonte where they will undertake their final preparations, both confident and excited to surprise fans during the tournament.
The ‘home’ of the Chilean national team during the World Cup – Tocada Raposa II – was ready to receive the players and coach Jorge Sampaoli. The entire training centre of Cruzeiro is adorned in colours of the flag of the South American country.
Chile face a difficult task in trying to progress through Group B, grouped with Spain, Holland and Australia. Their opening match is on June 13 against Australia in Cuiabá.
