RIO DE JANEIRO: Fans from the United States are the largest group of foreigners who bought tickets to the World Cup. According to data from FIFA, 1,395,886 tickets were bought by Brazilian nationals.

US fans bought 198,208 tickets, followed by Argentine fans, who bought 61,477 tickets. Fans from Germany acquired 58,983 tickets, those from England bought 58,105, from Colombia, 55,497, from Australia, 52,313, from Chile 39,458, from France, 35,052, and from Mexico, 34,353.
