FIFA: Ad-hoc Electoral Committee has received four candidatures for the presidential elections

FIFA’s member associations have proposed four candidates for the presidential elections to take place in Zurich on 29 May 2015.
The Ad-hoc Electoral Committee will now assess the proposed candidatures of Joseph S. Blatter, HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Luís Figo and Michael van Praag. In accordance with article 8 par. 1(e) of the Electoral Regulations, the Ad-Hoc Electoral Committee has passed the candidature dossiers to the investigatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee to carry out integrity checks within ten days, as stipulated in the regulations.
Upon receipt of the results of the integrity checks, the Ad-hoc Electoral Committee will reconvene in order to review all of the submissions and validate their compliance with the applicable FIFA regulatory provisions.
Following this process, the Ad-hoc Electoral Committee will formally admit and declare the candidates who are eligible for the office of FIFA President.
