TURIN: Juventus concluded their fourth successive Italian league title-winning season in triumph by winning their final home game of the season 3-1 against Napoli.

This was expected to be Rafa Benitez’s last game as Napoli coach. He has been strongly linked with the coaching role at Real Madrid in succession to Carlo Ancelotti.

Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus paraded the recently-won Italian cup before the game and were presented with the Serie A trophy after it.

Their fans paid a moving tribute to the 39 people killed in the Heysel disaster 30 years ago this month, holding up placards bearing the names of all the victims from the 1985 European Champions Cup Final in Brussels.

Among all that there was time for Roberto Pereyra, Stefano Sturaro and Simone Pepe to earn Juve the win.

David Lopez scored Napoli’s goal but the result left them relying on a Lazio slip-up if they are to qualify for the Champions League, and they also had Miguel Britos sent-off in injury-time.
