PARIS: French short-term rental property company Abritel-HomeAway has agreed a deal to become a sponsor of Euro 2016 between June 10 and July 10.

Under the agreement, Abritel-HomeAway will become a national sponsor of the competition, which is operated by football’s European governing body UEFA.

The company will also serve as the official fans’ accommodation service for Euro 2016. To support this, the firm will increase its inventory of short-term rental property listings in all 10 cities that will host matches, with supporters able to stay in houses or apartments during the tournament.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of the UEFA Events division, said: “We are excited to partner with a company with digital expertise at its heart and a leader in its field. In turn, we look forward to working closely together, using their huge network of properties in France and online strength, making it easier than ever for fans to fully enjoy their Euro 2016 experience this summer.”

Abritel-HomeAway becomes the sixth and final national sponsor of Euro 2016. UEFA confirmed that it also plans to announce its final global sponsor for the tournament in the coming weeks.
