MADRID: Spanish champions Barcelona have announced that they expect to generate their highest ever revenues of €960m in the 2018-19 season.

The estimations were revealed at a meeting of the club’s board of directors at the Catalan team’s Nou Camp stadium.

Club accountants believe they are on course to meet a target exceeding revenues of €1bn by 2021.

As a result of the financial predictions, Barcelona also announced that they expect the season’s expenditure to touch €929m, with expected profits of €11m.

The club also unveiled a subtle update to its official crest at the meeting.
