PRISTINA: England will be one of the top seeds in the draw for the Euro 2020 finals after rounding off their Group A campaign with a 4-0 win
over Kosovo on their first visit to Pristina. Gareth Southgate’s men won seven of their eight games, scoring 37 goals and conceding six.

The massive goal difference of +31 underlined the threat Harry Kane & Co will pose to whoever they face in the finals when they will play their group matches on home soil at Wembley.

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks opened the scoring with his first England goal after 32 minutes. Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain provided it with his first assist for England since 2015.

England manager Gareth Southgate recalled Raheem Sterling in attack. Southgate had dropped the Manchester City forward from the 7-0 defeat
of Montenegro on Thursday after his clash at the national team hotel with Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.

In the second half Sterling provided the deflected cross from which Kane scored his 12th goal of the campaign. The captain, who had earlier hit a post, thus became the first England player to score in every match of the qualifying campaign.

Substitutes Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount wrapped up the scoring.
