TURIN: Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty but Juventus still overcame Milan in Turin to reach the Coppa Italia final as Italian football returned to action after three months.

The second leg of the semi-final ended 0-0 but Juve reached the final against Napoli or Inter by virtue of the away goals rule after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Ronaldo had scored a last-minute penalty in Milan in February to score that crucial away goal but missed this time 15 minutes into the return when Juventus were given a penalty after a VAR review. Ronaldo hit a post with his spot-kick and immediately from the rebound Milan’s Ante Rebic was sent off for a wild lunge at Danilo.

Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus, in their 19th final, will know their opponents after Napoli face Inter on Saturday night.
