Referee Monzul to make Ukraine women’s football history in cup final
KIEV: Kateryna Monzul will make history tomorrow/Wednesday as the first women to referee the Ukraine cup final between Kiev Dynamo and Vorskla Poltava in Kharkiv.

The 39-year-old became the first woman to referee national premier league match when Tchornomorets Odesa played Volyn Lutsk in 2016.

Monzul was also in charge of the Opening Match at the 2015 Women’s World Cup as well as the final in which the United States beat Japan 5-2. She also officiated at last year’s finals in France.

Her assistants in the cup final will also all be women.
