TURIN: Cristiano Ronaldo has set a goal record after becoming, on Sunday, the first player to score at least 15 goals in each of the last 15 seasons in Europe’s top five leagues.

The 35-year-old Juventus star achieved this by scoring the third goal for his club in a 3-1 win over Sassuolo.

CR7 has 15 goals in 13 games in Serie A this season after having managed at least that number previously with Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The record applies to the top five leagues in the UEFA country coefficient: the Spanish League, the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A, the German Bundesliga and the French Ligue 1.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Juventus in the summer of 2018 and has won two league titles, scoring a total of 84 goals in 104 Serie A matches. Portugal captain totals 759 goals at club and national team level.

Among individual records Cristiano Ronaldo is top scorer in the history of Real Madrid (450 goals) and Portugal (102), as well as the the Champions League (134).
