KEIR RADNEDGE REPORTS: Free-scoring Norwegian striker Erling Braut Haaland has apparently indicated that he wants to leave the German Bundesliga in the summer.

Reports in Spain claim that the 20-year-old had notified Borussia Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc of his intention some time ago despite a verbal agreement to a contract extension until 2024 with an exit clause taking effect only in the summer of 2022.

Agent Mino Raiola ws quoted as saying: “Erling is ahead of his own development. He has developed faster than you could have expected.

“Maybe even I was too cautious when I advised him to go from Salzburg to Dortmund first instead of somewhere else.”

Haaland has been linked with every major club though a Spanish move is considered most likely with his family having bought a house in Marbella.

The Norwegian is said to be a No1 target for Real Madrid and to have been in informal talks for several years.

Dortmund value Haaland at €180m but, like almost every club, the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic makes this a buyer’s market.

The club are struggling to secure a Champions League place for next season despite Haaland’s 21 Bundesliga goals this term.
