PARIS: Three players were slightly injured after the French league match between Nice and Marseille was abandoned after a pitch invasion by dozens of hooligans.
Dimitri Payet was struck on the back by a bottle back while Mattéo Guendouzi and Luan Peres were hit on the neck after the outburst 15 minutes from the end.
Trouble began after some Nice supporters threw missiles projectiles towards Payet, who threw the bottles back.
This sparked scuffles between more fans and various Marseille players. Referee Benoît Bastien halted the game and sent both teams to the dressing rooms.
After a delay of an hour the referee decided to restart play but the Marseille players refused.
** Gareth Bale, in Spain, scored the opening goal for Real Madrid away to Levante but they needed a late equaliser from Vinicius Junior to rescue a 3-3 draw.
