ZURICH: The draw for the World Cup finals in Qatar is reportedly being scheduled for April 1.

The world game’s 211 football associations have apparently been put on notice by governing body FIFA that the 32 teams will know their November fate the day after congress in Doha.

FIFA is planning for ‘live’ events with representatives of the MAs all present in the Gulf state under strict pandemic precautions.

Those unable to attend because of travel controls will be able to participate remotely.
