PARIS: Neymar has prolonged his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 30, 2027 after triggering a one-year extension clause in his contract with the French champions.

According to French media reports Neymar’s family and agents are convinced that “he will star in one of the best seasons of his career”.

Neymar, who is expected back in France in 10 days to start pre-season, arrived at PSG in 2017 from Barça in exchange for the €222m of his termination clause.

In May 2021 it was renewed until 2025 and again the following year.
