PARIS: Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, on introducing Luis Enrique as coach in place of Christophe Galtier, also issued an ultimatum to Kylian Mbappé: either renew your contract within two weeks or be prepared for a summer transfer.

Mbappe pondered trying to leave the French champions last year and has been flkirting with Real Madrid for the last two months.

Al-Khelaifi, running out of patience with his superstar French forward, said: “Kylian must be decided in a week or two at the most. If he doesn’t sign a new contract, the door is open but we can’t let the best player in the world go free.”

Madrid have had a previous €200m offer ignored but now PSG are apparently prepared to launch an auction which may also interest Premier League clubs.

July 17 is the date on which Mbappe should return to PSG for preseason training with the club flying off on a tour of Japan on July 22.
