NYON: Thursday’s Euro 2024 qualifier in Tel-Aviv between Israel and Switzerland has been postponed by European football federation UEFA after the attack by Hamas across the Gaza border.

A UEFA statement said:

In light of the current security situation in Israel, UEFA has decided to postpone all matches scheduled in Israel in the next couple of weeks with new dates to be confirmed in due course.

The postponed matches are:

European Qualifiers 2024

12/10: Israel – Switzerland

UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2025

12/10: Israel – Estonia

17/10: Israel – Germany

UEFA European Under-17 Championship 2024

11/10 to 17/10: Mini tournament involving Israel, Belgium, Gibraltar and Wales

UEFA reserves a few more days to assess whether the European Qualifiers 2024 match Kosovo – Israel can take place on the originally planned date of 15/10 or requires postponement.

UEFA will continue to closely monitor the situation and will remain in contact with all teams involved before making decisions on new dates and on potential changes to other upcoming fixtures.
