MADRID: Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Antoine Griezmann has extended his contract with the club, while winger Thomas Lemar has signed from Monaco.

Atletico officials have been in Russia with the France squad to conclude deals with Griezmann, Lemar and defender Lucas Hernandez.

The 27-year-old Griezmann finally decided on his future with a public TV show last week, and the club have confirmed he has signed a one-year extension to take him to 2023.

The club did not comment on whether his reported 100m euros release clause had been altered.

22-year-old former Liverpool and Arsenal target Lemar has also been confirmed as a new signing as he joins from Monaco.

Meanwhile, Hernandez has extnded his current contract with Atletico by two years taking him to 2024.
