NYON: Twenty clubs are being investigated by UEFA for failing to comply with financial fair play regulations for the 2020-21 season.

The clubs reportedly include Barcelona, Internazionale, Juventus, Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain. Both Barcelona and Juventus are also entangled with UEFA over the issue of the Super League which is currently being considered by the European Court of Justice.

Fines, transfer controls or squad reductions are among possible sanctions under the now-concluded FFP regime.

UEFA has introduced new controls but has said it does not expect to be ramping up sanctions for another three years.

PSG have been in breach of one of the basic FFP demands for the past three years and as such has been given three years by European football’s governing body to rectify the situation.
