FA ‘joins our nation in mourning’ death of the Queen
LONDON: The Football Association, of which Prince William has been president since 2006, issued a brief note of condolence after the announcement of the death of the Queen.
The FA statement said:
“We have sent our deepest condolences to our president, HRH The Duke of Cambridge and the whole of the Royal Family following the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
“We join our nation in mourning her loss.”
Decisions are awaited over the staging of football matches this coming weekend.
