LONDON: No change at the top of the ESM European Golden Shoe rankings with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland firmly esconced in the top spot despite the lack of Premier League action this past weekend.

Haaland has 25 goals and is thus well clear on points ahead of Amahl Pellegrino, the 32-year-old forward of Norway’s Bodo/Glimt, who scored 25 goals in the completed season.

Haaland’s tally sits him in top spot because he – like all other players in Big Five – benefit from a multiplier of two. He – and third-placed Harry Kane – my both add to their totals on Sunday when City go to Tottenham.

Players in leagues between places six and 22 of the UEFA national ranking 2022 receive a 1.5 coëfficiënt. As in former years the ranbking does not include play-offs or cup matches in the official ranking.
