FRANKFURT: Thomas Muller not only scored Bayern Munich’s first goal against Bochum but became the club’s record outfield player with 428 games – surpassing the mark of Gerd Müller .

Only two goalkeepers have played more Bundesliga games for Bayern than Thomas Müller: Oliver Kahn (429) and Sepp Meier (473) . In other words, in the next game he plays, Muller will match Kahn.

Müller made his debut with the Bayern first team on August 15, 2008 , replacing Miroslav Klose in the 80th minute in a game against Hamburg. The match, on the first matchday of the 2008-09 Bundesliga, ended 2-2.
