LONDON: Joao Palhinha surprised sloppy Arsenal with a late equaliser as 10-men Fulham came back to claim a dramatic 2-2 derby draw in north London and end their hosts’ perfect start to the Premier League season.

Fulham did not have the best of luck with decisions. Calvin Bassey was sent off for two yellow cards while Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka escaped being penalised for an apparent foul on the defender down in the build-up to Eddie Nketiah’s goal.

Earlier Saka had inadvertently set up Andreas Pereira for Fulham’s opener within the first minute and Palhinha was handed the freedom of the penalty area to score the visitors’ equaliser.

Saka made amends for his error by scoring a second-half penalty and Nketiah put the hosts ahead with their controversial second before Palhinha hit back.
