FRANKFURT: Harry Kane scored his first Bundesliga hat-trick to move to seven goals from five games in the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich thumped Bochum 7-0.

Kane netted his third off a pass from Noussair Mazraoui in the 88th minute as Bayern sealed their biggest win since another 7-0 victory against the same opponents in August 2022.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting set Bayern off when he scored in the fourth minute and it was all Bayern from then on. Kane scored his first goal in the 13th when the ball took a deflection off the defender Ivan Ordets and landed at his feet.

Goals from Matthijs de Ligt and Leroy Sané — assisted by Kane — extended Bayern’s lead to 4-0 before England’s captain converted a penalty in the 54th minute after Ordets had handled. Kane set up the 18-year-old substitute Mathys Tel for Bayern’s sixth goal in the 81st and finished off his hat-trick seven minutes later off Mazraoui’s pass.

Kane has been directly involved in eight goals in his first five Bundesliga matches.

His hat-trick came only days after he converted another penalty in Bayern’s Champions League victory over Manchester United.
