ROME: Internazionale moved 18 points clear at the top of Serie A after a narrow win at Champions League-chasing Bologna.

German centre-back Yann Bisseck stooped to head in the only goal of the game from Alessandro Bastoni’s cross eight minutes before the break.

A 12th consecutive win in all competitions extends Inter’s lead before Juventus’ home game with Atalanta on Sunday.

Bologna stay fourth after just their second home defeat of the season.

The hosts dominated much of the second half but could not find a way through Simone Inzaghi’s side, who have conceded just 13 goals in 28 league games.

Victory is Inter’s 10th in a row in the league, only the third time they have achieved that feat in their history, as they continue their march towards a 20th Serie A title.
