NYON/PARIS: Nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or have been announced ahead of the awards ceremony on Monday, October 28, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
This follows the organisational partnership announced at the end of last year between UEFA and Groupe Amaury, proprietor of the media companies France Football and L’Équipe.
Presented annually by France Football since 1956, the Ballon d’Or is the most distinguished accolade a footballer can receive in recognition of their outstanding achievements and exceptional talent.
The 2024 awards will include the Men’s Ballon d’Or, Women’s Ballon d’Or, Kopa Trophy (best player under 21 years of age), Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper), Gerd Müller Trophy (top scorer of the previous season), Men’s Club of the Year Trophy and Women’s Club of the Year Trophy. Two new trophies have been added to the list of prizes: Men’s Coach of the Year and Women’s Coach of the Year, recognising the invaluable contribution of coaches to success on the pitch.

The 68th edition of the awards ceremony will take place on Monday 28 October at the grandiose Théâtre du Châtelet, located at the Place du Châtelet in Paris.
