ROME: Internazionale and AC Milan have submitted the latest of a never-ending series of proposals to build a new stadium under their joint ownership.

The document contains the proposal for the acquisition from the local authority of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza at San Siro and surrounding areas, along with a feasibility plan for constructing a state-of-the-art stadium.

The plan is integrated into a broader urban regeneration project that emphasizes innovation, sustainability and accessibility.

A statement said: “[This proposal] lays the groundwork for the creation of a landmark project that will serve as an international benchmark and bring significant benefits to the city of Milan and its residents.

“Over the next few months, the two clubs will engage with the municipal administration to discuss and refine the details and distinctive elements of the proposal, aiming to complete the acquisition process by July 2025.

“The final concept and executive project may eventually be presented at a later stage and are not part of today’s submission.”
