CARDIFF: Craig Bellamy has announced a 27-player squad for Wales’ key 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein at Cardiff City on June 6 and Belgium in Brussels on Monday, June 9.

Ethan Ampadu and Harry Wilson return to the squad after missing out on the opening games of the campaign in March due to injury. Craig Bellamy has also called up full-back Ronan Kpakio for the first time after featuring in last week’s training camp in Cardiff and Spain.

Several players come into the international window after a successful end of season at club level, including Europa League winners Ben Davies and Brennan Johnson, as well as Connor Roberts, Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Daniel James and Chris Mepham who secured promotion to the English Premier League.

The match against Liechtenstein is on track to be a full house in the Cardiff City Stadium with tickets still available to purchase, whilst 4,500 fans will be part of the Red Wall for the match against Belgium in the King Baudouin Stadium.

Wales currently sit second in Group J after a 3-0 win against Kazakhstan and a 1-1 draw away to North Macedonia. The group winners qualify directly for the World Cup; the four remaining berths are determined by play-offs involving the 12 group runners-up and four teams from last year’s Nations League phase.
