LONDON: Manchester United may not have won the Premier League but their players dominate the Fantasy Team of the 20 Seasons in both the public and panel votes on the best 4-4-2 combination to have played in its two decades.

The public team was decided by 300,000 football fans from around the world, while the panel team was decided by 11 commentators and administrators. There were only two differences in the two teams: one central defender and one central midfielder.

The Public Fantasy Team of the 20 Seasons features six players who made their name at Old Trafford, two from Arsenal, and one apiece from Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United. The Panel team consists of seven Manchester United players, two from Arsenal, and one each from Chelsea and Newcastle United.

The Fantasy Teams were announced as part of the Premier League’s 20 Seasons celebrations, which are designed to honour the players, managers and football that has taken place over the two decades of the world’s most watched and supported football league.
