BERLIN: Germany’s Champions League contenders powered further forward towards the top two domestic spots in the Bundesliga when a weakened Bayern Munich dismissed Nurnberg 4-0 and Borussia Dortmund crushed hosts Greuther Furth 6-1.

Ilkay Gundogen and Mario Goetze each scored twice for second-placed Dortmund, Germany’s outgoing champions, against bottom club Furth. Poles Jakub Blaszczykowski and Robert Lewandowski scored the others.

Dortmund were drawn on Friday against Reakl MAdrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Madrid coach Jose Mourinho was in Furth to brush up his memories of Dortmund; he clubs faced each other in the group phase last autumn.

Bayern, who had secured the league title a week ago, Jerome Boateng, Mario Gomez, Rafinha and Xherdan Shaqiri to thank for the goals which ended Nurnberg’s nine-match unbeaten run.

In France Paris Saint-Germain shrugged off the disappointment of their Champions Leaghue defeat by Barcelona to move 10 points clear at the top of the table. A second-half goal from Blaise Matuidi earned a 1-0 win away to relegation-threatened Troyes. That took PSG on to 67 points, 10 above Marseille with six games remaining.
