ENITAN OBADINA / AIPS in DUBAI: Former Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh is impressed with the standard of play at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup UAE 2013.

Oliseh, remembered for his spectacular goal against Spain in the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, believes the current generation of players in the championship are displaying good technical understanding of the game for their age.

He said: “I think technically its very sound the teams are very good, well organized and well prepared and it’s  a very interesting tournament.”

Currently working with FIFA as a member of the Technical Study Group, Sunday Oliseh showered praise on the Nigerian Team for their good start to the tournament.

He said: “I think the boys are very good, am very proud of the way the Nigerian boys started.”

He was not willing to compare his generation with the new one, however. The quality of the game had evolved but each different generation had its own strengths.
