ZURICH: FIFA president Joseph S. Blatter today, 29 October 2013, welcomed the president of the Football Association of Serbia, Tomislav Karadzic, and the president of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Fadil Vokrri, to the Home of FIFA in Zurich.

The meeting followed the mandate given by the FIFA Executive Committee to the FIFA president in May 2013 and his subsequent visit to Serbia on 12 June 2013. During the said visit president Blatter met with Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and expressed his intention to bring both parties together as part of FIFA’s mission to promote football globally and provide people in Kosovo with the appropriate tools to develop the game.

At the meeting, the Football Association of Serbia and the Football Federation of Kosovo agreed to further discuss potential ways to promote football in Kosovo with the ultimate objective of finding a mutually beneficial solution. The parties agreed to meet again by the end of November ahead of the upcoming meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee that will take place on 4 and 5 December.
