BARCELONA: Andres Iniesta became the 12th Barcelona player to score in the Spanish league with a goal of his own in the champi0ns’ 4-0 defeat of Granda.

Barcelona threw over concerns over having a field a team weakened by injuries suffered by players while on international duty.

Iniesta opened the scoring from a penalty after a foul on Cesc Fabregas. Their other goals came from Fabregas (also a penalty), Alexis Sanchez and Pedro.

Barcelona coach ‘Tata’ Martino was missing Victor Valdes, Dani Alves, Alba, Xavi, Tello and Leo Messi.

In Russia  champions CSKA Moscow moved up to joint second after beating derby rivals Spartak 1-0 with an early goal from Ivory Coast striker Seydou Doumbia.

CSKA, Spartak and Lokomotiv Moscow are three points behind leaders Zenit St Petersburg, who lost 2-0 at home to Rostov on Friday after their 4-2 defeat at Spartak before the international break.
