MUNICH: World and European champions Bayern Munich will be without French forward Franck Ribery for at least the first leg of their Champions League second round tie against Arsenal.
Ribery has undergone surgery for a buttock strain and will not be fit in time for the tie in north London on Wednesday next week.
The 30-year-old has been told he can resume full training after two weeks.
Ribery will also miss Bayern’s midweek quarter-final in the German cup against Hamburg and the weekend weekend league home match against Freiburg.
