AMMAN: FIFA vice-president representing Asia HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein has concluded his visit to Japan where he attended the meetings of the Asean Football Federation-Japan Football Association (JFA) Development Seminar in Osaka and Asean Football Federation/East Asia Football Federation (EAFF) Member Associations Gathering in Tokyo.

During his visit, Prince Ali joined the members of the two regional federations as well as Japan FA’s representatives for a thorough discussion on match-fixing, intra-regional cooperation and the development of the game.

“Thanks to the Japan Football Association, Asean Football Federation and East Asia Football Federation for inviting me to participate in the Asean-Japan Football Development Seminar, the AFF/EAFF Member Associations Gathering and the Prevention of Match Fixing Seminar. It was truly a pleasure to meet with you all and learn from your experiences,” Prince Ali said.

Prince Ali commended the recommendations presented by Asean FF and East Asia FF which have been sent to the AFC and stressed their importance for the development of football in Asia.

“Such gatherings provide an excellent platform to learn first-hand about football development in different regions and brainstorm with fellow stakeholders who share the vision of revealing Asia’s enormous potential, a vision which can only be achieved through intraregional cooperation and working closely in harmony as one continent,” Prince Ali said.
