MILAN: F.C. Internazionale Milano continue to set new records of the pitch, while on the pitch Roberto Mancini’s team currently sit top of Italy’s Serie A one point above AS Roma following last night’s 1-0 victory away at Bologna F.C. Inter’s next match is at home on Saturday 31 October and sees the Nerazzurri take on AS Roma at the San Siro.

To date tickets sales for the match, including season ticket holders and individual sales, are running at over 50,000 and with three days of sales left the total number is likely to be closer to the 55,000 mark.

So far this season, Inter home matches have twice broken the Italian gate receipt record for a domestic football match in Serie A. First for the derby against cousins and city rivals AC Milan on 13 September, when a capacity crowd of 79,154 set a new Italian gate receipt record of €3,671,078.

Then against Juventus Football Club, for the derby d’Italia on 18 October, another sell-out crowd at the San Siro set yet another gate receipt record of €3,740,051 breaking the previous record from just a month earlier.

Away from the stadium the Club also continues to show a proactive and innovative approach to the commercial programme with the opening of two new sales ofices – one in Jakarta, Indonesia covering the Asia Pacific region and one in Washington DC, USA, covering north, central and south America.

Already two new commercial deals have been announced in Asia (Jiuxian and Indosat) with a third in the pipeline. Further commercial deals are expected to be announced in due course as the new management team put in place by the club’s majority shareholder Erick Thohir, and CEO Michael Bolingbroke, ramp up the ambitious plans for the Club and brand both on and of the field
