KEIR RADNEDGE REPORTS: European federation UEFA, while still considering the situation with powerful Paris Saint-Germain, has acted against financial fair play breaches by clubs in Albania, Serbia and Switzerland.

Most notably, Swiss club Sion have been barred from European competition for the next two years by the adjudicatory chamber of the club financial control body , chaired by José Narciso da Cunha Rodrigues. Sion have also been fined  €235,000.

Negotiations are still continuing over concerns about French champions-elect PSG which erupted after the club’s expenditure last summer of €222m on Brazilian superstar Neymar from Barcelona and €150m loan-purchase deal with Monaco for Kylian Mbappe.

The panel also ordered:

KF Tirana (Alb): €215,000 withheld, corresponding to the UEFA revenues from the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League;

Vojvodina (Ser): €215,000 withheld, corresponding to the UEFA revenues from the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League;

FC Irtysh (Kaz): €440,000 withheld, corresponding to the UEFA revenues from the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League – and excluded from the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify in the next three seasons, suspended for three years.
