FRANKFURT: As a key part of their ‘Grow, Share and Celebrate’ vision for UEFA EURO 2024, the Germany 2024 bid has launched three knowledge-sharing programmes, aiming to benefit all of UEFA’s 55 Member Associations with their hosting.

The three programmes, which have been developed with inputs from both internal and external
expertise, will be offered to managers of all European FAs before, during and after a UEFA EURO in
Germany in 2024.

The “Share & Dare” programme will begin as soon as 2019, consisting of a series of Workshops as
Germany share their hosting preparations and experiences. Inputs will also be received from all
participating FAs, ensuring that a UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany truly reflects the desires of the UEFA
community, while also encouraging other FAs to stage top quality football tournament in the future.

During a UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany, the German FA’s brand-new Football Academy (scheduled to
be completed in 2021) will host the “Live Lab”. The Academy, hoped to become the ‘Silicon Valley of
football’, will host multiple clinics throughout the tournament for coaches and technical staff of all
European FAs, offering an opportunity to exchange knowledge and address common challenges.

And the knowledge sharing programmes will not stop at the conclusion of the tournament. Rather,
with its “Progress” programme, the Germany 2024 team plans to offer Seminars to competition
managers across Europe about the key learnings of the tournament and legacy initiatives.

Speaking about the programmes, German FA President Reinhard Grindel said, ‘I am very excited
about these three programmes we have developed. Our vision for a UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany is
to Grow, Share and Celebrate European football, and these programmes perfectly encapsulate what
we’re are trying to achieve. While we are hoping to host the EURO, it is crucial to us that all FAs
across Europe, whether their team is participating or not, feel part of the tournament and benefit from
it.’

Philipp Lahm, the German FA’s Ambassador for the UEFA EURO 2024 bid, added, ‘These programmes
are exactly what we want a EURO 2024 in Germany to be about. By sharing our experiences and
learnings throughout the preparation and delivery of this great event, we believe that the impact of a
EURO 2024 in Germany will be felt far beyond Germany, and far beyond 2024. Ultimately, football is a
team sport, and there is no better team in the world than when European football comes together.’
