Registration Open for Drop 2, Which Kicks Off in August 2026 LOS ANGELES (April 23, 2026) – Fans around the world purchased more than 4 million tickets during the initial LA28 Olympic Games ticket drop this month, signaling global excitement for the Games and achieving an historic benchmark more than two years before Games time.  Building on that momentum, including an unprecedented locals presale that put hundreds of thousands of $28 tickets into the hands of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City area residents, registration is now underway for the next LA28 Ticket Draw*, giving fans everywhere the chance to join the next wave of ticket sales this summer. 

Drop 2 opens in August 2026, giving fans who did not register, were not selected in the first on-sale phase, or did not purchase their Olympic ticket maximums, another chance to secure their place at the most anticipated Games in a generation. Drop 2 will include refreshed inventory across all Olympic sports at a range of price points.

Fans from near and far have spoken: the world wants to be part of the LA28 Games,” said LA28 Chief Executive Officer Reynold Hoover. “The success of Drop 1 is about more than momentum — it reflects LA28’s commitment to delivering a fiscally responsible Games that create a lasting legacy for Los Angeles and its communities.” 

LA28 GLOBAL & LOCAL SALES TRENDS* 
*Data based on Presale and Drop 1 inventory 95% of all tickets under $100 were sold during the LA & OKC Locals Presale.Roughly half a million $28 tickets went to locals during the LA & OKC Locals Presale. Women’s Olympic sessions outsold men’s 93% to 88% in LA28’s historic Drop 1.* Tickets sold across 85 countries and all 50 states and U.S. territories, with top international sales coming from the UK, Canada, Mexico and Japan. Nearly all inventory available in Drop 1 for Football (Soccer) matches at the seven venues around the country sold through, signaling the excitement for the Games across America. Artistic Gymnastics saw the quickest sell through of available Drop 1 inventory. The Valley Zone, which includes 3×3 Basketball, BMX Freestyle, BMX Racing, Modern Pentathlon and Skateboarding, led sell through for its combined featured sports. Flag Football, Lacrosse, Softball and Squash, new additions to LA28’s sport program, sold all available inventory. 
Get Ready for Drop 2 in August 
Register Today at Tickets.LA28.org Registration is required for a chance to secure a time slot to purchase tickets. Fans only need to register once to be included in all future LA28 Olympic ticket draws* and will be automatically included in any Paralympic draws when those tickets go on sale in 2027. Fans who already registered for the LA & OKC Locals Presale and Drop 1 and who were not randomly selected or who have not purchased their maximum Olympics ticket allowance will automatically be entered into the LA28 Olympic Ticket Draw for Drop 2 and any future drops, and do not need to re-register.* 
 Key details for Drop 2 Through July 22, fans around the world can register for the LA28 Ticket Draw* here.  Fans randomly selected for time slots will receive notification emails with specific details regarding date, time and duration of their time slot for Drop 2 via the email address used to register.  Fans will have the opportunity to purchase up to 12 total tickets for Olympic events, and up to 12 Football (Soccer) Tournament tickets that do not count toward the general 12-ticket maximum for Olympic events.  There is a 4-ticket-per-Ceremony limit, which counts toward the general 12-ticket maximum for Olympic events.   Each purchaser’s maximum Olympic ticket allowance is cumulative across all LA28 presales and ticket drops. Fans interested in premium Olympic Hospitality packages can purchase directly through On Location, LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider.
