BUENOS AIRES: Claudio Borghi is returning to coach former South American champions Argentinos Juniors where he shone as a striker and who he guided to the club’s third league title in 2010.

Borghi was dismissed as national coach of Chile in November 2012 after six successive defeats, including three in the current World Cup qualifiers.

Juniors, in a statement, said: “Claudio Borghi, the man with most victories in the history of Argentinos Juniors, is once again coach of ‘El Bicho’ (the bug).”

Champions San Lorenzo are also in the hunt for a new coach after Juan Antonio Pizzi quit to take over Spain’s Valencia.
