ZURICH / PRFIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke will embark on the first leg of 2014 edition of the FIFA World Cup Host Cities tour in São Paulo next Monday, followed by visits to Cuiabá and Manaus.

He will be accompanied by Bebeto, member of the Local Organising Committee Board of Administration, the Minister of Sport, Aldo Rebelo, and the Deputy Minister Luis Fernandes. The FIFA Secretary General will also attend the Arena das Dunas opening ceremony in Natal next week.

On Monday, 20 January 2014, the delegation meets the mayor of São Paulo Fernando Haddad and a representative of the São Paulo state government.

The meeting will be followed by a visit to the Arena Corinthians at around 12.00 (local time) and a press conference.

The same day, the group will travel to Cuiabá, where they will meet the governor of Mato Grosso state, Silval Barbosa, and the mayor of Cuiabá, Mauro Mendes.

Around 16.40 (local time) the delegation will be at Arena Pantanal and hold a press conference after a stadium tour.

The following day, 21 January 2014, the group travels to Manaus for a visit to the Arena Amazonia around 11.00 (local time) and a press conference. In the afternoon, they meet the governor of Amazonas state, Omar Aziz, and the mayor of Manaus, Artur Virgílio.

On Wednesday, 22 January 2014, FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke takes part in the opening ceremony of the Arena das Dunas in Natal, one of the 12 venues of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

On Thursday, 23 January 2014 at 9:00 (local time) the delegation will visit a project of the Football for Hope supported organisation Bola Para Frente in Rio de Janeiro and announce the programmes which will be supported by Football for Hope in 2014. Immediately after this visit, the delegation will attend the LOC Board meeting, also in Rio de Janeiro, followed by a press conference.
