The second period of the second sales phase closed today with a total of 301,929 tickets allocated for the circa 345,000 tickets originally available, which went primarily to residents of Brazil, USA, Colombia, Australia, Argentina and England (in this order).
Across all general public sales phases, 1,591,435 tickets have been allocated to supporters: 65% to Brazilians and 35% to international fans. Brazil remains the country with the most tickets assigned (1,041,418 so far), followed by the USA (154,412 tickets), Australia (40,681), England (38,043) and Colombia (33,126).
Some 261,988 tickets were sold at a discounted rate in all categories (to Bolsa Familia, elderly and students). Fans who are entitled to receive a discount must bring their proof of eligibility to the Ticketing Centre in order to pick up the tickets.
For students, this is the Brazilian National Student ID card, for Bolsa Familia beneficiaries this is the Bolsa Familia ID card, while the elderly must bring any document displaying their CPF and/or RG number.
Disabled customers must bring a medical certificate that includes their doctor’s CRM as well as an ICD code, a parking pass for disabled people or people with limited mobility, a national “Passe Livre” or municipal transportation card for disabled people or a disability pension letter from the Ministry for Social Security and Welfare.
All buyers must carry their ticket purchase confirmation and the photo ID/passport used for the purchase.
The FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres (with exception of Brasilia and Porto Alegre – opening dates to be communicated in due course) open on 18 April 2014 at 12:00 local time for ticket collection only (for the first three weeks, the centres operate only on weekends).

“The interest in the 2014 FIFA World Cup is amazing. Teams will have a strong fanbase in Brazil, as people are coming from all over the world for the tournament which will make history for sure,” said Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director in charge of ticketing. “Whoever wants to be part of this event may still be able to buy tickets later this month.”
The Last Minute Sales phase starts on 15 April at 12h00 CET / 07h00 BRT via FIFA.com/tickets and runs until the end of the tournament. The availability per match is constantly updated in the relevant chart directly on FIFA.com. From the beginning of the Last Minute Sales, Brazilian fans will only be able to pay by payment card. Visa is the preferred payment method of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. Cash payment will be accepted for over the counter sales, which only start on 1 June.
