YOKOHAMA: With one from Lionel Messi and two from Luis Suarez, FC Barcelona beat River Plate 3-0 to win the FIFA Club World Cup n Yokohama, their fifth trophy of 2015.

Previously the club had won the Spanish league, Copa del Rey, European Champions league, and UEFA Super Cup.

“I’m a very happy man. This season we’ve captured many titles. We’ve set goals and achieved them, so we’re satisfied,” Barcelona’s coach Luis Enrique said.

With Luis Suarez still on fire, adding Messi and Neymar, the combination of MSN turned the finale to a three-man show.

Messi opened the scoring for Barca in the 34th minute as the Argentine’s left-foot shot from the center of the box hit the bottom corner following Neymar’s fine head pass.

Four minutes into the second half, Suarez netted a one-on-one after Sergio Busquets provided a pinpoint pass over the top.

The 28-year-old Uruguayan headed home Neymar’s cross in the 68th minute.

With five goals in two matches, Suarez won the golden boot and golden ball of this tournament.

“I have to be honest and say that I think we’d have defeated any team tonight,” Enrique said.

“But we don’t want to stand still, after a short break, we’re looking forward to getting back together and achieving even more,” he added.
