NYON: German club 1FC Koln have been fined €60,000 by European federation UEFA for the manner in which their fans ran riot in north London before the Europa League tie against Arsenal on September 14.

Koln fans pulled down barriers outside the ground and struggled with police and security staff after having earlier caused chaos in London’s Oxford Street.

A statement from UEFA said that, in addition to the €60,000 fine, Koln had been ordered to contact Arsenal within 30 days to settle the cost of damage caused by their fans.

Koln have also been banned from selling tickets to fans for their next UEFA away match though this punishment has been suspended “for a probationary period of two years.”
