PARIS: Hosts France will play Ghana in the opening game of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after the official draw undertaken on International Women’s Day in Rennes.

France and Ghana meet at Vannes’s Stade de la Rabine on Sunday, August 5, at 19:30 (local time). New Zealand and the Netherlands were also drawn in Group A.

Former French international Camille Abily, FIFA Legend Mikaël Silvestre, grassroots footballer Aéla Mocaer and Paralympic skipper Damien Seguin took to the main stage of the opera house as draw assistants.

Matches in the tournament in Brittany will be played in Concarneau, Dinan-Léhon, Saint-Malo and Vannes.
