NYON: The latest round of disciplinary decisions from European federation UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary committee included fines for Champions League runners-up Liverpool for fan incidents at the quarter and semi-finals against Manchester City and Roma.

The Russian club Zenit St Petersburg have been ordered to stage one European competition match behind closed doors and fined €70,000 for incidents including racist behaviour.

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine Club Atlético de Madrid €18,000.

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine Liverpool FC €3,000.

Charges against PFC CSKA Moskva:

– Setting of fireworks – Art. 16 (2) of the Disciplinary Regulations

– Throwing of objects – Art. 16 (2) DR

– Stairways blocked – Art. 38 of the UEFA Safety & Security Regulations

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine PFC CSKA Moscow €20,000.

Match: 2017/18 UEFA Champions League quarter-final: Manchester City FC – Liverpool FC (1-2)

Charges against Manchester City FC:

– Josep Guardiola – Dismissal from the bench – Article 15 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)

– Improper conduct of the coach – Art. 69 (1) (DR)

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to suspend the Manchester City FC head coach Josep Guardiola for two (2) UEFA competition matches in which he would otherwise participate, one of which is deferred during a probationary period of one (1) season.

Charges against Liverpool FC:

– Setting off of fireworks – Article 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)

– Throwing of objects – Art. 16 (2) DR

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine Liverpool FC €6,000.

Match: 2017/18 UEFA Champions League quarter-final: FC Barcelona – AS Roma (4-1)

Charges against FC Barcelona:

– Throwing of objects – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations

Decision: FC Barcelona has received a warning with regard to the throwing of balloons.

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine Liverpool FC €20,000.

Charges against FC Zenit:

– Stairways blocked – Art. 38 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations

– Racist behaviour (racist chants) – Art. 14 DR

Decision: The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine FC Zenit €20,000. FC Zenit has also been ordered to play its next (1) UEFA competition match as host club behind closed doors. The Russian club has also been fined a further €50,000 for the racist behaviour of its supporters.
