FRANKFURT: The DFB has appointed a new Deputy Secretary-General

Heike Ullrich was appointed today by the DFB Executive Board as the new deputy to General Secretary Dr. Friedrich Curtius. In this function, the qualified sports economist succeeds Ralf Köttker, who left the association in November 2019.

Ullrich began her work for the DFB in 1996 as a clerk for women’s and girls’ football. Since 1 January 2018, she has headed the DFB Directorate for Associations, Clubs and Leagues, which is responsible for the DFB-Pokal, 3rd League, Women’s Bundesliga and all amateur and youth game classes.

DFB President Fritz Keller: “I am very pleased that we are getting a female, very competent Deputy General Secretary at the DFB for the first time with Heike Ullrich. She does an excellent job and is not only highly regarded in our company. Heike Ullrich is good for football. And it is good for the DFB.”
