LONDON: Manchester United were reminded of their role in the Super League drama before the 0-0 Premier League draw with Leeds.

A plane trailing a banner proclaiming: “2bn stolen – Glazers out,’ flew over Elland Road just before kick-off. Marcus Rashford came closest to breaking the deadlock with a free-kick just before half-time.

The draw meant United remained unbeaten in their past 24 Premier League away games. However their failure to win means Manchester City will be crowned champions next weekend if they beat Crystal Palace on Saturday and second-placed United lose at home to Liverpool on Sunday.

** Burnley took an important step up away from the relegation zone with a 4-0 win away to awful Wolves.

Sean Dyche’s men are now nine points above Fulham who are in danger of going down with West Brom and already-doomed Sheffield United.

Chris Wood scored a first-half hat-trick and Ashley Westwood the fourth. Wood is the first player from New Zealand to score a Premier League hat-trick.
